ICT Police Crackdown: 36 Outlaws Arrested, Drugs and Weapons Seized
In a major crackdown against criminal elements, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have arrested 36 outlaws and recovered a substantial quantity of drugs and weapons. The operation was conducted across various sectors of the city, targeting drug peddlers, illegal weapon holders, and other wanted criminals.
Details of the Operation
According to a police spokesperson, the arrests were made during a series of raids and checkpoints set up in different parts of Islamabad. The police teams acted on intelligence reports and tips from the public to apprehend the suspects. Among those arrested were individuals with prior criminal records, including those involved in theft, robbery, and drug trafficking.
The recovered items include 1.5 kilograms of heroin, 3 kilograms of hashish, 10 pistols, and a large number of bullets. The police also confiscated vehicles and mobile phones used in criminal activities.
Police Statement
Senior police officials stated that the crackdown is part of a continuous effort to maintain law and order in the capital. They emphasized that strict action will be taken against anyone involved in illegal activities. The police also urged citizens to report any suspicious activities to the helpline.
