PESHAWAR: At least three people were killed after a lightning strike hit the Chamakni Gandao area of Central Kurram on Thursday, rescue officials confirmed. The tragic incident occurred during heavy rainfall, when lightning struck a specific location in the area, resulting in the instant deaths of three individuals.
The sudden event caused panic among local residents, who immediately initiated relief and rescue efforts. Rescue and local sources reported that the bodies of the deceased were being transported to a nearby hospital for necessary legal and medical procedures. A mourning atmosphere enveloped the area following the tragedy, while rescue workers continued to gather further details about the incident.
