Murder Case Solved Within 24 Hours

MUZAFFARGARH - The police arrested a man for allegedly murdering his father and attempting to disguise the crime as a robbery, official sources said on Thursday.

According to police officials, the suspect, identified as Hashir, was taken into custody after investigators solved the case within 24 hours of the killing.

The police said the victim, a judicial employee, had been shot dead and his body was later dumped near a canal.

Suspect Participated in Funeral Arrangements

Station House Officer (SHO) of City Police Station, Haroon Raza Randhawa, said the suspect had actively participated in funeral arrangements for the deceased and had spent the following day accompanying police officers in efforts to identify the purported killer.

The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Karoor Lal Esan police station, where authorities said the swift investigation led to the suspect’s arrest within a day of the murder.

The police said further investigation into the case was underway.
