Outrage in Abbottabad Over Killing of Bike Rider Osama

ABBOTTABAD: Strong outrage and protests have erupted in Abbottabad following the alleged killing of a young bike rider, Osama. The police have registered a murder case against unknown suspects and launched an investigation.

According to the First Information Report (FIR) registered at Nawan Shehar Police Station, the incident was reported on June 16. The complainant, Muhammad Javed, son of Muhammad Shafi, stated that the deceased, Osama, son of Mir Osama, aged 28, was shot and critically injured by unidentified individuals on the night of June 15, 2026.

Osama was later shifted to Ayub Teaching Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The incident reportedly took place near Dhameera Colony, opposite Punjab Hotel, close to the Abbottabad–Mansehra Road.

The local community has expressed strong anger over the incident, demanding swift justice and the apprehension of the culprits. Police officials have assured that a thorough investigation is underway to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
