ICT Police Check 380, Shift 19 in Islamabad Search

Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted grand search and combing operations in different parts of the federal capital, checking 380 individuals and shifting 19 suspicious persons, including one Afghan national, to police stations for further verification. An official stated on Tuesday that the large-scale operations were launched on the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to further strengthen security and maintain law and order across the city.

Search Operations Across Multiple Areas

The official said search operations were conducted in the areas of Sabzi Mandi, Karachi Company, Shahzad Town, Industrial Area, and Sumbal police stations under the supervision of the respective zonal SPs. Lady police officials also participated in the operations.

During the search operations, police checked 380 individuals, 185 households, 22 hotels, and 90 shops. Additionally, 162 motorcycles and 63 vehicles were inspected. Nineteen suspicious individuals, including one Afghan national, and 27 motorcycles were shifted to the relevant police stations for further verification.

Enhanced Security Measures

According to the official, special checking points had been established at entry and exit routes of the city to ensure effective monitoring and security screening. All patrolling units and special squads remained active and continued patrolling in different areas of the capital. These measures are part of ongoing efforts to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of residents and visitors in Islamabad.
