A tragic incident occurred in Multan on Wednesday when a five-year-old boy drowned in a water-filled pit located near a tubewell on Peeran Ghaib road.
Rescue Operation
According to Rescue 1122 officials, emergency teams were dispatched to the scene immediately after receiving reports of the incident. The family members stated that the child had left home to play approximately three hours earlier and did not return, prompting a frantic search effort.
Discovery of the Child
After an extensive search, relatives found the boy unconscious in stagnant water that had accumulated in a pit adjacent to a tubewell. Rescue personnel promptly retrieved the child and administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) before transporting him to a nearby medical facility.
Medical Confirmation
Upon arrival at the hospital, doctors examined the child and pronounced him dead. The family and local community have been left in shock and grief over the sudden loss.
