LAHORE: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Tahir Farooq on Sunday visited the LDA City and reviewed the ongoing development works there. He was accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) and the Chief Engineer of LDA during the inspection.
Briefing on Development Progress
During the visit, the Director of LDA City, the Project Director, and the Director of Land Acquisition (LAC) provided a detailed briefing. They informed that development work is progressing on the LDA City Structure Plan Road. The LAC Director further elaborated that efforts are underway to position additional blocks within LDA City.
Focus on Housing and Basic Facilities
The LDA DG welcomed the increase in house construction activities in LDA City. He emphasized that the provision of basic facilities to citizens residing in LDA City must be ensured. He directed the authorities to expedite development work in the scheme and resolve any issues promptly.
Land Acquisition Review
Alongside the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), the LDA DG reviewed the land acquisition process for village Toor Warraich. They visited the One Window Cell established specifically for this purpose. The DG inquired from citizens about the challenges they face in the land acquisition process and assured them of full assistance and prompt payment upon completion of required documents.
Commitment to Citizen Convenience
The LDA DG stated that for the convenience of citizens, staff from LDA City and the Revenue department would remain present at the One Window Cell during office hours.
