Pakistan-Kazakhstan Boxing Clinic Concludes Successfully

The landmark Pakistan-Kazakhstan Boxing Skills Clinic concluded successfully in the federal capital, with leading Kazakh coaches imparting advanced technical and tactical knowledge to Pakistan’s emerging boxing talent ahead of future international competitions.

Closing Ceremony Attended by High Officials

Federal Secretary for Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani and Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) Secretary General Khalid Mahmood attended the closing ceremony as chief guests. Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) President Lt. Col. (R) Muhammad Nasir Ijaz Tung, hockey legend Olympian Samiullah Khan, Secretary Army Fitness and Sports Directorate Col. Nabeel Ahmad Rana, Second Secretary of the Embassy of Kazakhstan Olzhas Alimbayev, PBF Secretary Major Irfan Younis, along with several sports officials and dignitaries, were also present on the occasion.

Officials Hail Joint Initiative

Addressing the ceremony, Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani and Khalid Mahmood described the joint initiative as a significant milestone in strengthening sports relations between Pakistan and Kazakhstan and promoting the development of boxing in both countries. They praised the positive outcomes of the clinic and expressed confidence that the knowledge and experience gained would further enhance the technical capabilities of Pakistani boxers.

Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting boxing and stated that the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination would continue to provide every possible facility and assistance to the Pakistan Boxing Federation for the development of the sport and the welfare of athletes.

PBF President Thanks Kazakh Experts

Pakistan Boxing Federation President Lt. Col. (R) Muhammad Nasir Ijaz Tung thanked the Kazakh coaches and experts for sharing their expertise with Pakistani athletes. He said the advanced skills and modern training methods introduced during the clinic would play a vital role in preparing Pakistani boxers for international competitions and improving their overall performance.

Six-Day Training Programme

The six-day training clinic featured male and female national-level boxers and coaches from across Pakistan. During the programme, Kazakh experts conducted technical workshops, tactical training sessions, practical demonstrations, and specialized coaching classes, providing participants with valuable exposure to international boxing standards.

Strengthening Bilateral Sports Cooperation

The clinic marked another important step in sports cooperation between Pakistan and Kazakhstan, reflecting the shared commitment of both countries to athlete development and sporting excellence.
