8th Millionaire Premier League Starts May 5 in Lahore

The 8th edition of the Millionaire Premier League (MPL), featuring a prize pool of Rs 5 million, will begin on May 5 in Lahore, with 10 teams competing in the six-day event. At the drafting ceremony held at a local hall, MPL Chairman Farhad Iqbal unveiled the tournament trophy and kit along with Zeeshan Butt, Rana Umar, and Afzal Jabbar.

Players Who Made It Big

Chairman Farhad Iqbal stated that several players from the MPL platform have gone on to represent Pakistan, including Haris Rauf, Salman Mirza, Zahid, Hamza, and Jalalat Khan. Some of these players are now part of the Pakistan Super League.

Prize Distribution

The winning team will receive Rs 2 million and a trophy, while the runners-up will get Rs 1 million along with a trophy. Cash prizes have also been allocated for spectators. Captains of all 10 participating teams finalized their squads through the draft.
