This rise follows his impressive performances in the ongoing ODI series against Australia, where he claimed two wickets in each of the first two matches.

Pakistan pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi also made significant progress, climbing four places to 13th in the rankings with 593 rating points after taking four wickets in the series.
Australian Players Make Gains
Among the Australian players, fast bowler Nathan Ellis registered one of the biggest gains, jumping 24 spots to 44th following a six-wicket haul across the opening two ODIs against Pakistan. In the batting rankings, Australian batter Matt Renshaw surged more than 100 places to 78th after scoring 43 and 61 in the series. Fellow Australians Josh Inglis and Cameron Green also improved their standings, moving up to 57th and 63rd respectively.
Salman Ali Agha Drops
Meanwhile, Pakistan all-rounder Salman Ali Agha dropped out of the top 10 ODI batting rankings, slipping five places to 14th.
The latest rankings reflect the impact of strong individual performances during the Pakistan-Australia ODI series, with several players from both sides making notable gains.
