RAWALPINDI: Police have apprehended the driver of a passenger van who fled the scene following a tragic fire incident on Murree Expressway that resulted in the deaths of 10 passengers.
Arrest and Investigation
According to sources, the driver, who escaped after the accident, was taken into custody and transferred to Murree Police Station. Initial investigations have identified negligence, reckless driving, and speeding as the primary causes of the incident.
Legal Proceedings
Police confirmed that a case has been registered at Murree Police Station based on a complaint filed by a Motorway Police inspector. The charges include causing death by negligence, speeding, and other relevant offenses under the law.
