In a significant move to enhance travel facilities for passengers, Pakistan Railways has launched the second upgraded rake of the Awam Express service connecting Peshawar to Karachi. The train was officially flagged off on Sunday by Divisional Superintendent (DS) Peshawar, Imran Hayat, alongside other divisional railway officials.

Passengers traveling on the Awam Express welcomed the initiative and commended Pakistan Railways for raising travel standards. Speaking on the occasion, DS Peshawar Imran Hayat stated that, in line with the vision of Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, providing safe, comfortable, and quality travel facilities to passengers remains the top priority of Pakistan Railways.
He added that through the efforts of CEO Railways and Senior General Manager, Hafeez Ullah, the upgrading of the Awam Express and the introduction of new rakes will not only offer passengers a better travel environment but also significantly improve the overall quality of train services.

Imran Hayat further noted that Pakistan Railways’ Peshawar Division continues to implement practical measures to improve the railway system and enhance passenger convenience. The addition of the second upgraded rake to the Awam Express will provide modern facilities, improved seating arrangements, and a more comfortable travel experience.
