LAHORE - Ghulam Muhammad Khan, serving as Director Sports under the Commissioner Karachi Office and the Sindh Government’s Focal Person for the 35th National Games, has been honoured with the prestigious Performance Excellence Award. The recognition celebrates his outstanding services and significant contributions to the development of sports.
Award Ceremony Details
The award was presented by DIG Traffic Sindh, Syed Pir Muhammad Shah, who also holds the position of Chairman of the Sindh Sports Board. The distinguished ceremony was attended by senior government officials, sports administrators, and prominent personalities from across the province.
Among those present were Secretary Sports Sindh Munawar Ali Mahesar, Chief Engineer Aslam Mehr, Dr. Asad Ishaq, A.D. Gopang, Siraj Islam, Ahmed Ali Rajput, Asghar Baloch, Abdul Hameed Baloch, Gulfraz Khan, Khalid Rehmani, Muhammad Rafiq, Nafees Ahmed, and several other notable figures from the sports community.

Expressing his gratitude after receiving the honour, Ghulam Muhammad Khan thanked Sindh Minister for Sports Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mehr and the Sindh Sports Department for recognising his efforts and encouraging him through this prestigious award. He stated that the recognition would further motivate him to work with greater dedication alongside the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA), Sindh Sports Board (SSB), Sindh Olympic Association (SOA), and other sports organisations to promote sports across Sindh.
Ghulam Muhammad Khan also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the vision of Sports Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mehr and expressed confidence that, through collective efforts and effective leadership, Sindh would once again emerge as the champion of the National Games.
