Discussions have commenced regarding Pakistan cricket team's potential tour of England next year, with both teams considering a five-match One Day International (ODI) series as part of preparations for the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup. The Asia Cup in the ODI format is scheduled to be held in Bangladesh from June 18 to July 4, 2025.

FTP Schedule and Future Series

According to the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP) for 2023–2027, Pakistan's final scheduled series is set to take place in March against New Zealand, featuring two Test matches. Currently, all cricketing nations are engaged in discussions over the new schedule, with further deliberations expected during the International Cricket Council's meeting scheduled in Scotland later this month.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also planned to play five ODIs in England next year as part of preparations for the 2027 World Cup. The proposed series may also include one Test match, although details are yet to be finalized.

Upcoming Tournaments and Series

The 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup is scheduled to be held from October 4 to November 21 in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. This year, from September 24 to October 3, Pakistan's T20 team will participate in the cricket event at the Asian Games in Japan.

During the current season, Pakistan will host Sri Lanka for three T20 matches in October, and a triangular series including England is also planned. The Sri Lankan team will return in November for a two-Test series. Additionally, a triangular series including Zimbabwe will be played.

Later this month, Pakistan will tour the West Indies for two Test matches, followed by a three-Test series in England.

Asia Cup 2025 Details

The proposed dates for the next year's ODI Asia Cup are June 18 to July 4, to be hosted by Bangladesh. A total of 13 matches will be played in the tournament, featuring Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and one associate team.
