PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting cricket’s rapid development in Saudi Arabia during a visit to the cricket stadium at King Fahd Abdulaziz University on Friday. The venue is being transformed into an international-standard facility.

Inspection and Proposed Upgrades

Naqvi, accompanied by Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF) Chairman Prince Saud bin Mishal Al Saud, toured the stadium, inspected its infrastructure, and reviewed proposed upgrades aimed at meeting International Cricket Council (ICC) standards. Officials presented detailed plans outlining the venue’s future expansion and modernization.

Naqvi’s Remarks on Cricket Growth

Speaking after the inspection, Naqvi said the stadium would become a major catalyst for cricket’s growth in the Kingdom and create opportunities for Saudi Arabia to stage international matches and major global events. “This project represents an important milestone in the development of cricket in Saudi Arabia,” Naqvi said. “It is an honour for the Pakistan Cricket Board to contribute to the Kingdom’s exciting cricket journey, and I sincerely appreciate the continued support of Prince Saud bin Mishal Al Saud.”
