The Sindh Basketball Association (SBBA) has fulfilled another major commitment by restoring the basketball court at Khuhro Sports Complex in Larkana, making it playable for the first time in 21 years. SBBA President Ghulam Abbas Jamal Ch announced that the renovated court will be officially inaugurated on July 10 during a colorful ceremony, marking the revival of regular basketball activities in Larkana. An exhibition match is also scheduled for August 6.
Support and Contributions
Chaudhry thanked SBBA Patron Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Berger Paints, and the Sindh Sports Board for their support in completing the project. SBBA Secretary Amir Sharif announced a free five-day coaching camp for 50 boys in Larkana from July 10-14, while a separate camp for 20 girls will be held in Sukkur from July 15-19.
Grassroots Development
The camps aim to promote grassroots basketball and develop young talent across Sindh. Meanwhile, LBBA Secretary Sahir Hussain expressed gratitude to SBBA and Berger Paints, announcing that both Ghulam Muhammad Khan and Berger Paints will receive the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Award in recognition of their contributions to basketball development in Larkana.
