LAHORE - Muhammad Yahya, Hamza Ali Rizwan, Hajra Sohail, and Bismel Zia secured their spots in the U-18 finals at the Bank of Punjab (BoP) Junior National Tennis Championship 2026. The event is being held at the Sports Board Punjab Tennis Academy, Nishtar Park Sports Complex, Lahore.
Boys U-18 Singles Semifinals
In the boys U-18 singles semifinals, M Yahya advanced after leading Umer Jawad 2-6, 4-2 (retd). Hamza Ali Rizwan booked his place in the final with a hard-fought 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 victory over Haziq Areejo.
Girls U-18 Singles Semifinals
The girls U-18 final will feature Hajra Sohail and Bismel Zia. Hajra defeated Eesha Rabbi 6-0, 6-0, while Bismel Zia overcame Khadija Khalil 6-2, 6-3.
Boys U-18 Doubles Semifinals
In the boys U-18 doubles event, M Yahya and Zohaib Afzal Malik stormed into the final after defeating Ahmad Afzal and Shayan Afridi 6-1, 6-1. Hamza Ali Rizwan and Omer Jawad also secured their place in the title clash with a convincing 6-1, 6-1 win over Haziq Areejo and Abdur Rehman.
U-14 Singles and Doubles Semifinals
In the boys U-14 singles semifinals, Shayan Afridi defeated Rashid Ali Bachani 4-1, 4-1, while Muaz of Fatima Group overcame M Ayan 5-4, 4-2. In the girls U-14 semifinals, Khadija and Hajra advanced to the final after beating Aleezay Maryam and Eman Shahbaz. In the U-14 doubles semis, M Muaz and M Ayan defeated Zahran Zeeshan and Hanzla 4-1, 4-1, while Ahmad Fareed Yawar and Daniyal Abdullah overcame Behroze Maimoon and Shahzain Faisal 5-3, 4-0.
U-12 Singles and Doubles Semifinals
In the boys U-12 singles semis, Ayan of Fatima Group routed M Daniyal 4-0, 4-0, while M Faizan defeated Ashtar Alam Khan 4-2, 4-0. In the girls U-12 semis, Eman Shahbaz/Shahnoor Umer beat Wajeeha Fatima and Shahreen Umer. In the boys U-12 doubles semis, Faizan/Salaar defeated Daniyal Afzal/Mustafa 4-0, 4-2, while M Daniyal/Riyan beat Waleed/Hassan 4-0, 4-1.
Closing Ceremony
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar is expected to attend the closing ceremony as chief guest.
