Two young Saudi athletes secured gold medals at the Central Region Wushu Kung Fu Championship, which concluded on Saturday. Saud bin Faisal Al-Aqeel emerged victorious in the under-50 kg category for competitors aged 11 to 13 years. Meanwhile, Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Aqeel claimed the top position in the under-38 kg category within the same age group.

The championship attracted 120 male and female participants and was organized as part of ongoing initiatives to promote and develop kung fu across Saudi Arabia. The event featured two main disciplines: taolu, which focuses on performance routines, and sanda, the combat discipline.
