Australia Cup 2026 Round of 32 Teams Set After Record Entry

The Hahn Australia Cup 2026 Round of 32 teams have been confirmed following the completion of the Preliminary Rounds, setting the stage for another chapter of Australian football’s biggest knockout competition. A record 777 clubs from across Australia’s football pyramid—including grassroots, regional, and professional teams—battled through the early stages, with just 32 clubs remaining in the race for national glory.

Draw Details and Broadcast

The Round of 32 draw will take place on Monday, 22 June 2026 at 7:30 pm AEST, hosted by Joshua Parish. The event will determine the opening matchups of the Finals Rounds. Fans can watch the draw live and free via the Football Australia YouTube channel and 10 Streaming as clubs discover their path towards the Hahn Australia Cup Final.

Participating Teams

Ten Isuzu UTE A-League Men clubs will feature in the 2026 edition: Adelaide United, Brisbane Roar, Central Coast Mariners, Macarthur FC, Melbourne City, Melbourne Victory, Newcastle Jets, Perth Glory, Sydney FC, and Western Sydney Wanderers. They will be joined by 22 clubs representing Football Australia’s nine State and Territory Member Federations, showcasing the strength and diversity of Australian football.

Among the clubs making their first appearance in the Final Rounds are Azzurri United, North Sunshine Eagles, Preston Lions, Kingborough Lions United, Marlin Coast Rangers, Rochedale Rovers, Cumberland United, FK Beograd, and Fremantle City. Historic club South Melbourne FC will also feature, adding further pedigree to the competition after becoming the inaugural Australian Championship winner.

Format and Home Advantage

The 32 clubs will be placed into a single open draw, meaning any team can face any opponent. Where a Member Federation club is drawn against an A-League Men side, the lower-tier club will receive home advantage, increasing the possibility of packed local grounds and memorable cup nights.

Schedule and Road to the Final

The Round of 32 will be played across three weeks in July, with 16 matches scheduled between Tuesday, 14 July and Wednesday, 29 July. The competition will then progress through the Round of 16 in August, followed by the Quarter Finals and Semi Finals in August and September, before the 2026 champion is crowned in the Final.

Continental Qualification

Beyond the trophy, the winner will earn direct qualification for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League Two for the 2027-28 season, adding even more significance to the tournament. With A-League heavyweights, ambitious NPL clubs, and community teams all chasing the same dream, the Hahn Australia Cup once again promises drama, surprises, and the true “Magic of the Cup.”
