La-Z-Boy and Klipsch Partner for AudioLuxe Furniture with Built-In Speakers
La-Z-Boy AudioLuxe Furniture Gets Klipsch Speakers

La-Z-Boy has unveiled a new AudioLuxe furniture line that integrates Klipsch speakers directly into recliners and sofas, promising crystal clear tones and deep bass vibrations. The company is collaborating with Klipsch to embed speakers in the headrest and a subwoofer in the base of each piece.

Features and Connectivity

The AudioLuxe furniture can function as part of a larger surround sound system or connect wirelessly to smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth with Auracast support. This allows users to stream audio from their devices and broadcast it to other Auracast-compatible speakers or furniture. Each piece includes individual controls in the armrests for volume, audio input selection, and synchronization across multiple units.

Availability and Options

Specific pricing and configuration details have not been announced yet. However, La-Z-Boy confirmed that the AudioLuxe line will be available in both fabric and leather cover options, with availability expected in fall 2026. The furniture was introduced at a trade show this week.

Comparison to Lovesac

The AudioLuxe line is similar to Lovesac's StealthTech Sound and Charge line launched in 2021, which features Harmon Kardon speakers and modular components with wireless charging armrests. La-Z-Boy's offering takes a different approach by integrating speakers directly into the headrest and base.

Dolby Atmos and Surround Sound

The AudioLuxe recliners and sofas can be connected to a Klipsch Flexus Sound System to create a 5.1.2 surround setup with Dolby Atmos support. This allows for a personalized audio experience, even in a room with multiple AudioLuxe pieces, as each person can customize their listening preferences.
