A new teaser trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4: The Culling Game Part 2 has been released as part of MAPPA's 15th Anniversary Lineup Reveal, offering fans a first look at several of the arc's most anticipated battles and confirming key changes to the anime's production team. The preview showcases scenes from major confrontations including Hakari vs Kashimo and Yuki Tsukumo and Choso vs Kenjaku. The trailer also features Maki Zenin, Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro as the story moves deeper into the high-stakes Culling Game storyline.
The teaser also confirms a significant change behind the scenes. Shota Goshozono, who directed Season 2 and played a major creative role in Season 3, will transition into the position of chief director. Takeru Sato, previously one of Season 3's assistant directors and known for directing ZOMBIE LAND SAGA: Yumeginga Paradise, will take over as director for Season 4. Several core staff members are returning to the production, including series composer and scriptwriter Hiroshi Seko, character designers Yosuke Yajima and Hiromi Niwa, compositing director Teppei Ito, colour designer Eiko Matsushima, background art director Junichi Higashi and music composer Yoshimasa Terui.
Jujutsu Kaisen adapts Gege Akutami's manga series, which follows a world where Jujutsu Sorcerers battle dangerous Cursed Spirits. The previous instalment, The Culling Game Part 1, aired during the Winter 2026 anime season and centred on Yuji and his allies as they attempted to stop the plans of the powerful Kenjaku. The franchise first debuted as an anime in 2020, followed by the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film in 2021 and a second television season in 2023. A compilation film, Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution, was released in 2025 and included an early preview of the current arc.
The returning voice cast includes Junya Enoki as Yuji Itadori, Yuma Uchida as Megumi Fushiguro, Mikako Komatsu as Maki Zenin, Kazuya Nakai as Kinji Hakari, Daisuke Namikawa as Choso, Noriko Hidaka as Yuki Tsukumo, Takahiro Sakurai as Kenjaku and Junichi Suwabe as Ryomen Sukuna. With the new teaser now released, anticipation is building for the next chapter of one of anime's most successful modern franchises as the Culling Game storyline continues.
