CTO Lahore Distributes Driving Certificates to Empower Women

A certificate distribution ceremony was held at Al Hamra Hall Cultural Complex on Saturday to honor men and women who successfully completed a driving course. The event was graced by Lahore Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi, who personally distributed driving certificates to the graduates and encouraged them.

Empowering Women Through Driving Training

CTO Lahore stated that the Lahore Traffic Police has provided training in scooter and car driving to more than 7,000 women so far. He highlighted that under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, both men and women are being empowered to play their roles in practical life with confidence.

Driving Schools and Modern Facilities

He further mentioned that 12 driving schools have been established across the city to offer training in scooter and car driving to women. These schools provide women-to-women services with modern facilities.

During the driving course, participants receive detailed training not only in driving but also in electrical and mechanical work, enabling them to become independent in all respects.

Ongoing Programs for Women

The 'Ride for Change' program of Lahore Traffic Police for women is continuing successfully. Under the 'Women on Wheels' project, free training in motorcycle riding is being provided to women.

CTO Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi emphasized that the empowerment of women will bring positive and visible changes in society. The main objective of these initiatives is to make women more confident, independent, and strong.

He expressed determination that the role of women alongside men is crucial for social and societal development, and Lahore Traffic Police will continue to take all possible steps for the development and independence of women.
