Clad in the iconic yellow costume, Logan stealthily moves through environments and engages enemies with his adamantium claws, delivering brutal and visceral combat. The gameplay footage highlighted the weighty and satisfying nature of the fighting mechanics, though it also emphasized the game's extreme levels of bloodshed, with crimson splattering across the screen during encounters.
Long-Awaited Reveal
Wolverine has been in development for several years, with Sony and Insomniac first announcing the project back in 2021. At that time, very few details were shared with the public. Sony finally offered a glimpse of gameplay during a separate State of Play event in September 2025, and the official release date was confirmed in February 2026. The game represents a significant addition to Insomniac's portfolio of Marvel titles.

Insomniac Games has established a strong track record with Marvel properties. The studio developed the critically acclaimed Spider-Man game for PS4 in 2018, which was followed by the spin-off Spider-Man: Miles Morales and the sequel Spider-Man 2, featuring both Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
