The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has finalized comprehensive security arrangements through the Smart Safe City Pakpattan project for the 784th annual Urs of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Masood Ganj Shakar (RA). The measures aim to ensure the safety of devotees, effective monitoring, and a peaceful environment during the religious gathering.

Camera Network and Control Room

According to a PSCA spokesperson, more than 300 cameras installed under the Smart Safe City Pakpattan project are being used to continuously monitor the shrine, surrounding areas, major roads, and key entry and exit points. In addition, portable 4G cameras have been deployed for round-the-clock surveillance of crowds, sensitive locations, and other important installations. A dedicated Safe City Control Room set up at the shrine provides real-time surveillance of all activities and ensures effective coordination among police and other law enforcement agencies.

Aerial Monitoring and Coordination

The spokesperson said that Safe City drones are also being utilized for aerial monitoring to keep a close watch on pilgrims’ movement and the overall security situation. Representatives of the Safe Cities Authority, police, and other relevant departments are jointly performing duties in the special control room to ensure a swift response to any emergency situation.
