Abha Hosts First SEVEN Entertainment Destination in Saudi

Abha is set to host the Kingdom’s first entertainment destination developed by Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), with Asir Governor Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz scheduled to launch the project on Aug. 5. Developed in cooperation with the Asir Development Authority, it represents a milestone in the region’s tourism and entertainment sector and supports the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Location and Design

Located in Abha, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading tourism and cultural destinations, the entertainment complex is designed to reflect the city’s natural landscape and cultural identity while offering year-round attractions for families, young people and visitors. It will combine interactive entertainment, social spaces and leisure activities aimed at enhancing quality of life for residents and tourists.

Strategic Integration

The project forms part of the Airport District under the Asir Development Strategy, which helps enhance visitors’ arrival experience while improving links to surrounding developments and key infrastructure projects. Officials have said its opening reflects continued efforts to strengthen Asir’s position as a leading tourism and investment destination by expanding modern entertainment infrastructure, attracting visitors and supporting economic growth.

SEVEN's Nationwide Network

SEVEN is developing a nationwide network of 14 entertainment destinations with investment exceeding SR50 billion ($13.3 billion). The projects will feature more than 150 attractions, including family entertainment centers, cinemas, adventure experiences and indoor attractions, while creating thousands of jobs and supporting domestic tourism. The Abha site is SEVEN’s first to open in Saudi Arabia, marking a major milestone for the company’s nationwide rollout and reinforcing Asir’s growing role as a tourism hub.

Local Reaction

Abha resident Nouf Al-Harbi is looking forward to the opening, and added that the attraction would give local families entertainment options without having to travel to other cities. She said: “For years we had to travel outside Asir for this kind of entertainment. Having SEVEN in Abha will give families and young people more activities close to home, encourage visitors to stay longer in the region, and support local businesses.”
