Appeals Process for Rejected Applications
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Saba Sehar has stated that complete transparency and merit are being ensured in the Punjab government's “Apna Khet Apna Rozgar” programme to benefit deserving unemployed rural farmers. Acting on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya, she heard appeals against 120 rejected applications and reviewed each case individually before reserving decisions in accordance with prescribed rules.
Transparent Scrutiny Under CM's Vision
She emphasized that the scrutiny process is being carried out transparently under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Under the programme, eligible unemployed rural farmers will receive up to five acres of agricultural land on a 10-year lease for cultivation. Saba Sehar reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring that only deserving applicants benefit from the initiative.
Robbery FIR Registered After Eight-Day Delay
In a separate incident, a robbery FIR was registered after an eight-day delay. The details of the case remain under investigation.
