Helicopter Crash Claims 14 Lives in Ras Tanura
A helicopter operated by Saudi oil giant Aramco crashed in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday morning, killing all 14 people on board, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. All victims were Saudi nationals.
PM Shehbaz Sharif Offers Condolences
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sadness over the incident on Monday, writing on social media platform X: “Deeply saddened by the tragic helicopter crash in Ras Tanura that claimed the precious lives of 14 Saudi nationals. Pakistan stands in full solidarity with our Saudi brothers and sisters in this hour of grief.” He extended condolences to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the victims' families, and the people of Saudi Arabia.
Investigation Underway
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash, according to SPA. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also conveyed condolences on Sunday, stating: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this tragic accident and their grieving families.”
