Adviser to the Punjab Chief Minister on Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives, Ali Dar, participated in the annual ghusal ceremony at the shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) on Thursday. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also attended the spiritually significant event and was received by Ali Dar and the Secretary of Auqaf upon arrival at the shrine.
Message of Peace and Spirituality
Speaking on the occasion, Ali Dar described the shrine as a great centre of spirituality, peace, love, and service to humanity. He stated that the teachings of the revered saint promote compassion, tolerance, brotherhood, and selfless service, while devotees visiting Data Darbar experience spiritual solace and blessings. The ghusal ceremony, he said, reflects the deep devotion, respect, and spiritual attachment of the people to the shrine.
Efforts for Religious Sites
Ali Dar highlighted that under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, continuous efforts are being made for the improvement, restoration, and provision of better facilities at religious sites across the province. He emphasized that preserving the sanctity, beauty, and spiritual environment of the shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) is a collective responsibility.
He appreciated the efforts of all departments and institutions involved in ensuring smooth arrangements for the ceremony. The adviser reiterated that the message of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) is peace, brotherhood, love, and service to humanity, which continues to inspire people from all walks of life.
Digital Monitoring for Muharram
In a separate development, the Punjab government has rolled out a digital monitoring plan for the month of Muharram to ensure security and smooth conduct of religious processions. This initiative is part of the government's broader strategy to leverage technology for public safety and religious harmony.
