Balochistan Police Solve Trader Murder, Arrest 5 Suspects

The Balochistan police's Serious Crimes Investigation Wing (SCIW) has successfully solved the murder of prominent trader Muhammad Hashim Noorzai, arresting five suspects including the prime accused. The breakthrough was announced by DIG Quetta Imran Shaukat during a joint press conference alongside SSP SCIW Dost Muhammad Bugti and SSP Operations.

Forensic Methods Lead to Arrests

A provincial scientific investigation team traced and cracked the case through modern forensic methods, leading to the arrests. DIG Shaukat stated, "Five accused have been arrested in this case, while the main accused, Hakmatullah Noorzai, has also been taken into custody." He added that Hakmatullah was apprehended based on information provided by the other arrested suspects. However, his brother Saadullah Noorzai remains at large, and police operations to arrest him are continuing.

Business Dispute Behind Murder

The DIG revealed that the murder was planned over a major business dispute involving Rs160 million. Following the main accused's disclosure, police recovered an AK-47, an LMG, and other modern weapons used in the crime. Two more suspects were arrested while fleeing on Sariab Road, from whom four rifles and multiple rounds of ammunition were seized. Recovery efforts for a stolen Revo vehicle are underway.

SCIW Success in Blind Murder Cases

Highlighting recent successes, DIG Imran Shaukat stated that the SCIW has solved five blind murder cases in the last two months using advanced scientific investigation techniques. He shared details of some of the resolved cases: Gwalmandi murder case: Accused Syed Naeem Shah arrested; murder weapon recovered. Zarghoon Abad murder case: Accused Shah Muhammad arrested; murder weapon recovered. Shalkot murder case: Female key suspect and others arrested; search for remaining accused continues. Shalkot double murder case: One accused arrested; raids underway for the second.
