Deputy Commissioner Kamran Mustaq Shaikh chaired a district-level planning meeting for the Booster Dose fIPV Campaign in District Kamber Shahdadkot on Saturday. The meeting was facilitated by District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. Gulzar Ahmed Tunio Kamber and the DEOC core team.
Targeted Implementation and Gap Analysis
The Chair directed the inclusion of Union Councils (UCs) identified with operational and immunity gaps to ensure targeted campaign implementation. This approach aims to address areas with lower vaccination coverage and strengthen overall immunity levels against polio.
Social Mobilization and Communication Strategy
Social mobilization strategies and the communication plan were reviewed and finalized to enhance community awareness and participation. The focus is on engaging local communities to increase vaccine uptake and dispel myths surrounding vaccination.
Operational and Crisis Management
Critical operational aspects, including crisis management, cold chain management, and other campaign implementation matters, were discussed in detail. Ensuring the integrity of the vaccine supply chain and preparedness for any emergencies were key points of the agenda.
Timeline and Coordination
A tentative timeline of campaign activities was reviewed and finalized in coordination with the District Polio Eradication Committee (DPEC) to ensure timely and effective execution. The meeting concluded with a commitment from all stakeholders to ensure high-quality implementation of the Booster Dose fIPV Campaign across District Kamber.
