DC Hyderabad Reviews Muharram Arrangements in Key Areas

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Hyderabad Zain-ul-Abedin Memon conducted a visit to Faujdari Road and Makki Shah area on Monday to inspect arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram. He was accompanied by the Chief Executive Officer of Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), the Municipal Commissioner of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (HMC), and other officials from relevant departments.

Civic Facilities Under Review

During the visit, the deputy commissioner reviewed ongoing arrangements including sanitation, drainage, water supply, street lighting, and other civic facilities. The objective was to ensure smooth observance of Muharram-ul-Haram, according to a handout issued on Monday.

DC Memon directed all concerned departments to immediately resolve any pending issues and complete required arrangements on a priority basis. He emphasized the need to facilitate mourners and maintain public convenience throughout the holy month.

Coordination and Vigilance Stressed

The deputy commissioner stressed that all departments should work in close coordination and remain fully vigilant. This is to ensure that Muharram processions and gatherings are held peacefully and without any inconvenience to participants.

Meanwhile, similar arrangements are being reviewed in other districts. In Vehari, the Assistant Commissioner (AC) also inspected preparations for Muharram-ul-Haram, underscoring the provincial focus on security and civic readiness.
