Expressing satisfaction over the annual recovery performance, Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abbas Rind stated that effective monitoring and continuous follow-up of revenue collection had produced encouraging results. He emphasized that a comprehensive and effective strategy would be essential to further enhance the Authority’s revenue sources during the next fiscal year.

Context and Impact

The FDA's improved recovery performance comes amid broader efforts by development authorities in Pakistan to enhance financial sustainability. The funds collected will support infrastructure development and regulatory functions in Faisalabad, one of the country's major industrial cities.

Meanwhile, in a separate development, Suthra Punjab workers staged a protest demanding payment of their salaries, highlighting ongoing challenges in the region's public service sector.
