Four Held with Drugs and Illegal Weapons in Gujrat

Police in Gujrat claimed on Thursday to have arrested four suspects and recovered narcotics and illegal weapons from their possession. The operations were conducted by Sadr Sarai Alamgir police and City Sarai Alamgir police.

Raids and Arrests

Sadr Sarai Alamgir police carried out targeted raids and arrested Muhammad Sajjad, from whom 1.2 kilograms of heroin was recovered. Additionally, Suleman was apprehended with a 30-bore pistol. In separate actions, City Sarai Alamgir police arrested Tayyab Ali, who was found in possession of a 30-bore pistol, and Amir Yousaf, from whom eight liters of liquor were seized.

Legal Proceedings

Cases have been registered against all four accused under relevant sections of the law. The police have initiated further investigation to determine the source of the contraband and any potential links to larger criminal networks. Authorities have stated that such operations will continue to maintain law and order in the region.
