Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a decline on Saturday, mirroring losses in the international market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola fell by Rs1,100 to reach Rs439,836. Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs377,088 after a decrease of Rs943.
International Market Impact
The international rate of gold declined by $11 to reach $4,174 per ounce, with a premium of $20. This drop influenced the local market, which often aligns with global trends. On Friday, gold had surged by Rs12,200 per tola to Rs440,936, making the current decline a partial reversal.
Silver Prices Also Drop
Silver prices also experienced a downturn, falling by Rs48 to Rs6,716 per tola. The APGJSA shared these rates, reflecting a broad decline in precious metals.
The local gold market remains sensitive to international fluctuations, and analysts expect further volatility depending on global economic indicators.
