A Karachi-based mobile phone dealer was killed and a woman sustained serious injuries when unidentified armed men opened fire on their vehicle in the Dasht area of Balochistan's Mastung district late Saturday night, according to representatives of a traders' association.

Incident Details

Karachi Mobile and Electronics Dealers Association Chairman Minhaj Gulfam stated that the incident occurred when a family from Nazimabad, Karachi, was traveling to Quetta by road. The family reportedly lost their way after being misdirected by a navigation app and inadvertently entered the Khund area of Dasht, where their vehicle came under indiscriminate firing by unidentified armed men.

As a result, the family head, Ali Jamil, was killed on the spot, while a woman accompanying the family sustained serious injuries. Two minor children traveling with the family remained unharmed, Minhaj Gulfam added.
