Karachi Police have finalized a comprehensive security plan for the week-long anti-polio campaign that commenced on July 6, deploying 7,796 police personnel across the city to safeguard vaccination teams and workers.

Deployment Details

According to a Karachi Police spokesperson on Monday, the security arrangements were made on the directives of Additional Inspector General of Police Karachi Azad Khan. The campaign will continue until July 12.

The spokesperson stated that 2,679 police personnel have been deployed in the East Zone, 2,704 in the West Zone, and 2,413 in the South Zone, including female police officers.

Supervision and Coordination

The Karachi Police chief has instructed all zonal officers to personally supervise the security arrangements to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the anti-polio campaign throughout the city.

This deployment aims to protect vaccination teams from potential threats and ensure the success of the immunization drive against polio.
