Liven Pharma Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding with China’s TOFFLON Science and Technology Group Co Ltd to strengthen cooperation in pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing. The agreement was disclosed to the Pakistan Stock Exchange as part of Liven Pharma's Vision 2030 plan, aiming to enhance local manufacturing capabilities and foster technology cooperation.
Details of the MoU
According to a report by Gwadar Pro, the MoU was signed by TOFFLON Senior Vice President Michael Chang and Liven Pharma Chief Executive Officer Kaashif Hussain. Liven Pharma stated that the collaboration will help the company evolve into an integrated pharmaceutical and biotechnology enterprise while supporting the localization of selected pharmaceutical and biotechnology processes.
Parties Involved
TOFFLON is a Shanghai-based pharmaceutical equipment and technology company that offers process services, consumables, core equipment, and engineering solutions for pharmaceutical firms. Liven Pharma, incorporated in Pakistan in 1991 and converted into a public limited company in 1992, primarily manufactures pharmaceuticals and allied products, as per its PSX company profile.
Impact and Vision
This partnership is part of Liven Pharma’s broader Vision 2030 strategy, which focuses on improving local production and technological independence. The MoU is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s pharmaceutical sector by facilitating technology transfer and reducing reliance on imports for biotech processes.
