The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa successfully concluded a three-day training programme for newly appointed sub engineers. The initiative aimed to enhance their professional capabilities in WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) technical interventions, policies, and planning.
Training Objectives and Scope
The programme was specifically designed to equip newly recruited sub engineers with departmental knowledge, technical expertise, and modern professional requirements. The ultimate goal is to improve the delivery of safe drinking water and sanitation services across the province.
Topics Covered
The training sessions covered a wide range of subjects, including an introduction to the Public Health Engineering Department, relevant policies, acts and rules of business, Measurement Book (MB), layouts, quantity estimations, various stages of project planning, project process groups, basic design principles of water supply and sanitation management systems, and key water quality parameters.
