The District Health Authority (DHA) Rawalpindi has announced the recruitment of 1,562 temporary employees for its anti-dengue campaign for 2026, inviting applications from eligible residents of the district for sanitary patrol and entomologist positions. According to the authority, the appointments will be made on a temporary project basis to strengthen surveillance and field operations aimed at preventing and controlling dengue during the upcoming high-risk season.
Vacancy Breakdown and Eligibility
Of the total vacancies, 1,500 are for sanitary patrol staff, including 450 positions for men and 1,050 for women, while 62 posts have been allocated for entomologists. Applicants for the entomologist posts must possess at least a bachelor’s degree from a university recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Candidates applying for sanitary patrol positions must have passed the middle standard, be physically fit and possess basic knowledge of using Android smartphones. Applicants for both categories must be residents of Rawalpindi district.
Application Deadline and Interview Schedule
The District Health Authority has set July 20 as the deadline for submitting applications at its office in Rawalpindi. Interviews are scheduled to be held from July 23 to July 28, with separate interview sessions to be conducted for male sanitary patrol staff, female sanitary patrol staff and entomologist candidates. The authority said the appointments would be purely temporary and made solely for the anti-dengue campaign.
Terms and Conditions
It added that no travelling allowance or daily allowance (TA/DA) would be paid to candidates appearing for interviews and reserved the right to increase, reduce or withdraw the advertised vacancies without prior notice.
