Cocaine Queen Anmol's bail prospects dim with bank records

KARACHI: The bail prospects of alleged 'Cocaine Queen' Anmol alias Pinky and her facilitators have dimmed after police submitted detailed bank transaction records linked to narcotics trade before a local court.

Police placed on record financial details in the court of the judicial magistrate (South), highlighting the alleged role of facilitators in managing proceeds from drug sales. According to the police report, large sums generated from narcotics trafficking were transferred through multiple bank accounts and mobile wallet services, including JazzCash, Easypaisa and Mobicash, operated by the accused facilitators Zeeshan Rehman and Sohail Rehman.

The report states that Zeeshan maintains five accounts in private banks, while Sohail operates two accounts. These accounts were allegedly used to process transactions related to the sale of drugs in Karachi and other cities. Police claimed that Pinky was involved in narcotics sales worth millions of rupees, with the financial operations being handled by her accomplices.

The court has been presented with evidence showing a systematic network of financial transactions aimed at concealing the origins of drug money. The accused facilitators are said to have played a crucial role in laundering the proceeds, using multiple accounts and digital wallets to move funds. This development significantly reduces the chances of bail for Anmol and her associates, as the court now has concrete financial links to the narcotics trade.

Police have also indicated that further investigations are ongoing to trace the full extent of the drug network and identify other individuals involved. The case highlights the increasing use of digital financial services in illegal activities, prompting authorities to strengthen monitoring mechanisms.
