ISLAMABAD: Trade bodies and business leaders across the nation have hailed the Federal Budget 2026-27 as a business-friendly, growth-driven, and balanced fiscal roadmap. They praised the government for introducing measures aimed at boosting economic activity, encouraging investment, and supporting sustainable development.
FPCCI Applauds Budget
The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and other business organizations congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, and the economic team for presenting an excellent and public-oriented budget. The FPCCI stated that the federal budget 2026-27 is a positive step for the stability of the country's economy, promotion of investment, and increase in business activities. The business community will continue to cooperate with the government and play a role in promoting economic growth and investment.
Pakistan Business Council's Perspective
The Pakistan Business Council, while congratulating the finance team, noted that the government was clearly taking key stakeholders on board in framing important economic policies. This is very refreshing and augurs well for the future, it said, adding that this will greatly improve the business environment and the lives of many salaried individuals. "We believe that this budget has sent out a very strong signal that inclusive, sustained growth is now the government's priority," it added. The council expressed its commitment to continue working closely with the government for the betterment of the country and its citizens.
RCCI Welcomes Tax Relief
Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Usman Shaukat appreciated the federal budget, calling the reduction in taxes for the salaried class and the decrease in super tax welcome steps. He also appreciated the tax relief provided to the IT sector, noting its vital role in promoting exports and employment. He welcomed the allocation of Rs88 billion under the Export Finance Scheme, describing it as a positive initiative.
