Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) has declared an additional 11 KV feeder exempt from load shedding, bringing the total number of such feeders to 66. The announcement was made by Chief Executive Officer Faizullah Dahiri at a ceremony held in Kori, Jamshoro district, where the 11 KV City 6 Feeder was officially added to the list of zero load shedding feeders.
Details of the Exempted Feeder
According to HESCO spokesman Sadiq Kubar, the newly exempted feeder is supplied with electricity from the 132 KV Sehwan grid station. It provides power to 575 consumers through 36 pole-mounted transformers. Among these consumers, there are 55 commercial, 19 industrial, and one agricultural connection.
This initiative is part of HESCO's ongoing efforts to reduce load shedding and improve electricity supply reliability. The company has been gradually increasing the number of feeders exempt from load shedding, aiming to provide uninterrupted power to key areas.
Impact on Local Community
The addition of the 11 KV City 6 Feeder is expected to benefit residents and businesses in Kori and surrounding areas. With 55 commercial connections, local shops and enterprises will experience fewer power outages, potentially boosting economic activity. The 19 industrial connections will support manufacturing and production, while the single agricultural connection will aid farming operations.
HESCO's CEO emphasized the company's commitment to enhancing power distribution and minimizing disruptions. The ceremony in Kori was attended by local officials and community members, who welcomed the development.
