PESCO Pledges to End Unscheduled Load Shedding in Badhber

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Transport and Mass Transit, Samiullah Khan, met PESCO Chief Engineer Akhtar Hameed on Wednesday to address persistent electricity shortages in Badhber and adjoining areas, focusing on prolonged unscheduled load shedding.

Residents' Concerns Voiced

Samiullah conveyed residents' concerns over frequent and extended power outages, stating that the disruptions were causing severe hardship, particularly during the ongoing hot weather. He emphasized that uninterrupted electricity is an essential public service and urged PESCO to eliminate unscheduled load shedding and ensure a reliable power supply.

Commitment to Timely Payments

The special assistant also said he would encourage consumers in his constituency to pay their electricity bills on time, adding that timely payments would help strengthen the sustainability of the power sector.

PESCO's Assurance

Responding to the concerns, Chief Engineer Akhtar Hameed acknowledged the problems and assured that unscheduled load shedding in Badhber and surrounding areas would be brought to an end. He stated that electricity would be supplied according to the approved schedule and that technical issues affecting consumers would be addressed on a priority basis.
