The Saudi Contractors Authority has released its "Contracting Sector Outlook – June 2026" report via the SCAVO platform, revealing that awarded projects in the Kingdom for June exceeded SR29.5 billion ($7.84 billion), with 25 projects recorded—the highest monthly count for the year.

June 2026 Project Values and Rankings

According to the report, June recorded the highest number of awarded projects for 2026, totaling 25 projects. The combined value surpassed SR29.5 billion, placing June second in terms of value after May, when project values exceeded SR30 billion.

Building and Construction Sector Dominates

The building and construction sector captured the largest share, with 14 projects worth more than SR20.6 billion, representing 56 percent of total value. The infrastructure sector and water and energy sector each accounted for 20 percent, while oil and gas made up 4 percent.

Regional Distribution of Projects

The Eastern Province led in project count with 10 projects (40 percent) and ranked first in investment value, exceeding SR11.4 billion. The Riyadh region followed with more than SR10.8 billion.

Sub-Sector and Project Owner Highlights

Projects spanned 14 sub-sectors. Commercial projects recorded the highest number (four), while multi-use residential apartments achieved the highest financial value, exceeding SR6 billion. The National Housing Co. topped project owners by value, with over SR5 billion across six projects, followed by Saudi Aramco with more than SR0.9 billion.

Forecast for July 2026

The report forecasted 23 project awards in July 2026, with over 60 percent concentrated in building and construction. Nearly half are expected in the Eastern Province, Riyadh region, and Makkah region, with major entities like the Public Investment Fund, Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and others launching projects.
