Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant decline on Saturday, mirroring losses in the international market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the per tola price of gold dropped by Rs12,489, settling at Rs455,327. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs11,240 to reach Rs389,772.
On Friday, the per tola price had already declined by Rs1,469 to Rs467,816. In the global market, gold prices decreased by $124 per ounce, closing at $4,328 (with a $20 premium). Meanwhile, silver prices also saw a reduction, falling by Rs463 to Rs7,267 per tola.
This sharp decline comes as a relief for potential buyers but signals ongoing volatility in precious metals markets. Experts attribute the drop to global economic factors and currency fluctuations.
