Hot Humid Weather Forecast for Sindh (07.07.2026)

Sindh to Experience Hot and Humid Weather

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and humid weather across most districts of Sindh for the next 24 hours. According to the PMD's advisory, temperatures are expected to remain 2-4°C above normal in several areas, with urban heat stress likely in Karachi and other coastal cities.

The PMD noted that a shallow westerly wave is affecting the upper parts of the country, while a seasonal low lies over the northeast Arabian Sea. This combination is expected to bring hot and humid conditions to Sindh, particularly in the southern and coastal regions.

Temperature and Humidity Details

In Karachi, the maximum temperature is likely to range between 36-38°C with a humidity level of 60-70%. The city may experience light sea breeze during the evening hours, providing some relief. However, the PMD has warned that the combination of high temperature and humidity could cause discomfort, especially for those with respiratory issues.

Other cities in Sindh, including Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, and Nawabshah, are also expected to see hot and humid weather. Sukkur and Larkana may record maximum temperatures up to 42°C, while Hyderabad and Nawabshah may see temperatures around 40°C.

Impact on Daily Life

The hot and humid conditions are likely to impact daily life, with health experts advising residents to stay hydrated and avoid direct exposure to sunlight during peak hours. The PMD has also recommended that people, especially the elderly and children, take necessary precautions to avoid heatstroke.

"The urban heat stress in Karachi is a concern due to the high population density and concrete structures that trap heat," said a PMD official. "We advise people to use cooling systems and limit outdoor activities between 11 am and 4 pm."

Regional Weather Pattern

The PMD further stated that the westerly wave affecting upper parts of the country may cause light rain in some areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan. However, Sindh is expected to remain dry with only a slight chance of thundershowers in the far northern districts like Ghotki and Kashmore.

In the coastal areas, sea breezes are expected to be weak, contributing to the high humidity. The PMD has advised fishermen to exercise caution as the sea conditions may remain rough in some parts of the Arabian Sea.
