Islamabad Traffic Police Cracks Down on Illegal Parking

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has initiated a crackdown against illegal and double parking in the busy commercial area of I-8 Markaz, under the supervision of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Kainat Azhar Khan. The operation aims to ensure smooth traffic flow in the federal capital's commercial hub.

Enforcement Campaign and Challans

According to an official statement on Saturday, traffic officers conducted an enforcement campaign targeting traffic violations. A number of illegally parked vehicles were issued challans during the operation. The official noted that vehicles causing obstruction to the smooth flow of traffic were removed from the spot to ease congestion and improve traffic movement.

CTO's Directives

CTO Kainat Azhar Khan directed traffic officers to continue strict enforcement against illegal parking and ensure uninterrupted traffic flow in commercial centres across Islamabad. She emphasized the need for sustained vigilance to maintain road discipline.

Appeal to Citizens

The official added that CTO Kainat urged citizens to park their vehicles only at designated parking areas and strictly follow traffic laws. She stressed that public cooperation is essential to help maintain smooth traffic flow and improve road discipline in the city.
