During the operation, a hotel was sealed until rectification for selling milk that lacked the prescribed fat content. A case was registered against the owner for this violation. Additionally, the teams discarded 250 litres of substandard milk to prevent its sale to consumers.

Violations and Penalties

A PFA spokesperson stated that the penalties were imposed for selling substandard milk, using broken and unhygienic eggs, and maintaining poor sanitation and hygiene standards at food outlets. The fines reflect the authority's zero-tolerance approach to food adulteration.
