A commemorative photo exhibition marking the 150th birth anniversary year of Pakistan's founder, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, was inaugurated at the historic Rami Library in Istanbul on Tuesday. The exhibition highlights his life, leadership, and enduring legacy.
Joint Organization and Distinguished Guests
The exhibition was jointly organized by the Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara, Albayrak Media Group, and Rami Library. It brought together diplomats, academics, media representatives, and members of the Pakistani diaspora in Türkiye. Distinguished guests at the inauguration ceremony included Pakistan's Ambassador to Türkiye Dr. Yousaf Junaid, Deputy Governor of Istanbul Mehmet Sülün, Eyüpsultan Kaymakam Dr. Arslan Yurt, and Rami Library Director Ali Çelik.

Ambassador's Tribute
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Dr. Yousaf Junaid paid tribute to Jinnah's remarkable transformation from a distinguished barrister to one of the most influential statesmen of the twentieth century. He highlighted the Quaid-i-Azam's unwavering commitment to constitutionalism, democratic values, and principled leadership. The ambassador said Jinnah's belief in the rule of law, dialogue, and political dignity remained relevant today and continued to inspire people around the world. He noted that the founder of Pakistan envisioned a state based on inclusive governance and equality before the law, principles reflected in his historic address to Pakistan's Constituent Assembly on August 11, 1947. Dr. Junaid also emphasized the enduring significance of Jinnah's guiding motto of "Unity, Faith and Discipline," describing it as a timeless framework for nation-building and national progress.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Governor of Istanbul Mehmet Sülün described Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah as one of the most significant political figures of the twentieth century. Scholar's Address
Renowned scholar Prof. Dr. Davut Shahbaz also addressed the ceremony, highlighting Jinnah's contributions to constitutional politics and his vision of a modern, democratic, and inclusive state. He said the founder of Pakistan's ideas continued to hold relevance for contemporary societies.
