Juggun Kazim Calls Out Litter Crisis on Murree Hiking Trails
Juggun Kazim Slams Litter on Murree Trails

Pakistani actor and television host Juggun Kazim has publicly expressed her disappointment over the rampant littering on hiking trails in Murree leading to Nathia Gali. In a video posted on social media, she pointed out the scattered plastic bottles and wrappers left behind by tourists, criticizing the lack of civic responsibility.

Frustration Over Tourist Behavior

In her video, Juggun questioned why visitors fail to clean up after themselves. She said, "We always complain, asking what will happen to our country, what will happen to the condition of living in our country, and how the situation in our country will be fixed but how will such changes occur if we aren't looking out for our own trash and cleanliness?"

Linking Litter to Climate Change

Juggun argued that pollution contributes to unpredictable weather patterns, stating, "We keep saying the climate conditions are getting worse: in summer, a hailstorm happens, and in winter, we are experiencing summer. All these climate changes are occurring because of the pollution we are causing, the unsanitary conditions we have adapted to when leaving our trash around."

Call for Responsibility

She reminded her followers that enjoying nature comes with the duty to protect it, adding, "We people have been granted such a beautiful life and universe by Allah; we don't take care of it, and due to that, if climate changes occur, then it's no one's fault but our own."

Social Media Response

Juggun captioned her post with a plea: "We travel to beautiful places to escape the mess. Let’s not leave our mess behind for someone else to clean up. Take your memories. Take your photographs. Take your garbage too." The post resonated widely, with many users thanking her for raising awareness. Some lamented the loss of "civic sense and accountability" among modern travelers, while others called on authorities to impose fines on litterbugs.
